Mumbai Neighborhood Walks

 Colaba, South Mumbai

Mural near a gallery we visited

Garlands of flowers

View from our rooftop terrace - with a bit of zoom!

Crafty crow!

Om Sai Ram celebration festival in our neighborhood

A city bus, squeezing between the parade and parked cars.

Bandra neighborhood art walk - so many murals on walls around Hill and Chapel Roads.

Building and shops across the street.

Down the street - never far from one somewhere!

Chapel Road bungalow

Mustache doors that disappear during business hours.

A very excitable street dog who wanted to visit as soon as we slowed down.
Repurposed soda bottle planters!
More soda bottle planters!

Wall requesting more paint, please!

So curious to know what kind of car this is. Anybody?

In case you ever wondered about the secret lives of pigeons...

Countless crosses , many recently renovated and well-loved, dot the neighborhood. Portuguese influence is evident in family names and street names, as well as in the numerous churches and crosses. I like the little message from God....

Veggie stand and woman praying at one of the crosses while our big shadows wander by.

More Bollywood murals

Purple bike in a cute little neighborhood - Ranwar. Many of these homes were built in the 1930s.

I swear this dog is always chilling in the street, and everyone just zips around him.

Playing cricket

Playing cricket in a field lined with murals before the heat of the day.

Game of Thrones reference in Cafe Coffee Day

Our mosquito racquet - such a fun way to prevent bites!
